MIKE MCDONNELL SCHOLARSHIP 2023

The Mike McDonnell Scholarship Fund was established in memory of Michael McDonnell and the significant contribution he made, in his short life, to the Irish Sports and Social Society.

The fund was established to provide financial assistance to members or the dependents of members in good standing of the Society who have been accepted to a post secondary educational facility (i.e.  University, College, or Technology Institute). 

A scholarship may also be awarded to those who are making an extraordinary contribution in the field of Irish Culture or in the field of sports. 

From Mike's daughter Rosanne McDonnell, 

"My dad (Mike) was one of the original founders and supporters of the Irish Sports and Social Society. Since 1995, the Mike McDonnell Scholarship Fund has been providing financial assistance to members and/or dependants of the Irish Club, and it was established in memory of the significant contributions he made.

My family and I will be administering the scholarship this year, and the following information includes the dates and criteria for applying. Please feel free to share this information with those that are eligible and may wish to apply for the scholarship.
