Singer/songwriter/actor Damian McGinty was born in Derry, Northern Ireland. In 2007 he joined Celtic Thunder. In 2011 Damian won The Glee Project and landed a role in the tv series Glee.
Damian self-produced an EP in late 2012. In 2013/14, he was busy with PBS specials ‘This is the Moment’ & ‘The Power of Music’ which was then followed with a US tour.
2015 brought Damian back on tour with Celtic Thunder and into 2016 through Australia and North American. He worked on his first solo CD, This Christmas Time, and then to his first solo tour in December to promote his CD.
In early 2017, Damian helped actress Roma Downey and Mark Burnett launch Light Works Media. Damian teamed up again with Celtic Thunder for a Symphony Tour as well as a 10th Anniversary Celtic Thunder Cruise. Damian was then cast in the lead role of film, Santa Fake, (Nov. 2018). Damian’s EP of original songs to be released Spring 2018.

Tickets for this year’s St. Patrick’s Day events are now available!!
Saturday, March 11 we have the St. Patrick’s Day Dinner Dance. Featuring a fantastic roast beef dinner, music from Allen & Hobbs, tickets are only $30 for members and $35 for non-members.
Tickets for St. Patrick’s Day itself are available too. Friday, March 17 (yes, we know the date is wrong on the tickets…) starts first thing in the morning with a full breakfast (only $5 once you’re through the doors) and the GAA Club Finals. Throughout the day there will be Irish dance performances and music, as well as food specials in the kitchen. Tickets are $15 in advance or $20 at the door.
On Saturday, we’re keeping the party going with Vibram Souls playing in the evening. There’s only a $5 cover charge for this great band, and proceeds will be donated to charity.
Come down and buy your tickets while they’re still around! See you this March at the Irish Centre!!
Drop by on Sunday for the Irish Centre’s Family Day BBQ and Membership Drive.
The festivities will run from 1PM to 9PM with a free dinner for members being served from 4 to 7 PM.
If you were a member in 2016 or take out your membership for 2017, come on in for some steak and hot dogs for the kids!
There will also be face painting, balloon animals and a treat bag for the kids.
In the evening, we will have an open mic for our talented members who play an instrument, sing or recite.
